Hi everyone! I hope your having a beautiful day. I am going to share an entire home makeover with you today. I had the privilege of documenting my friends house flip! I was beyond excited to get before and after pictures including video footage of the entire process! I hope this will help you get some ideas on how to makeover your home!
Lets start at the beginning!
The kitchen was a great size but with the natural oak cabinets it was 90s dated. The owners had replaced all the 6 inch white tiles on the counter tops with a nice granite for the first update!
Now its time for the makeover to begin!
They took out the small three foot kitchen island and replaced it with two extra cabinets extending it to 7 feet long. They wanted a great entertaining space in the kitchen and living room!
They sanded down all the cabinets and primed them with BINS shellac primer. The next step was to add the actual color to the kitchen cabinets with Sherwin Williams white. They did three coats because the cabinets were so dry. The kitchen itself was a seven day process.
Now the flooring needed to be chosen and they went with a rich medium tone engineered hardwood floor.
The fireplace got a complete makeover and I did an entire blog post on it if your in need of more information.
Now for the lights!
They got rid of all the original 90s lighting and chose lots of crystals for a more modern glam look. The hallway lights are from Amazon , the kitchen chandelier is from Overstock and the bathroom lights are from Amazon as well.
Now for the after photos!
Look how different the kitchen looks after being painted and with the new floors! Its so much brighter, great for entertaining now with the larger island. The dark hardwood floors make the house look and feel so much bigger now that its not two different floors. They previously had linoleum and carpet in the living space. If you can keep one flooring throughout a living space it make the house feel so much larger and nicer!
The fireplace got a nice light grey stone, gas insert and new mantel!
The bathroom went from oak cabinets and white 90s tile to a modern glam look!
They replaced everything in this bathroom except the tub.
The last makeover was the laundry room.
The cabinets were painted the same white as the kitchen cabinets and the walls are Sherwin Williams popular grey like the rest of the house!
This home makeover was so fun to document and share with you all. I did a few YouTube videos on it as well so I hope you enjoying watching those videos as well. I have many more DIY’s and makeovers here on my blog and YouTube Channel to inspire you! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope to see you soon!
