Spring Farmhouse DIY Scroll - Momma From Scratch

Today I am sharing how to make this beautiful Spring Farmhouse DIY scroll using products you can find at Dollar Tree or similar discount store. This farmhouse DIY is such and easy yet beautiful way to help you decorate your home on a budget! These scroll are super versatile and can transition to any season.

Here are the supplies you’ll be needing:

Brown craft paper (found at Dollar tree or Walmart)
Sharpie
Rope (dollar tree or hardware store)
Four paper clips
Carbon Paper for tracing
Special saying printed from (Word) on your computer
Stencil, 5 inch ( optional)
Ruler for evenness

First step:

Take your rope and loop it through one end of the paper roll and tie a knot. Slide the knotted portion back into the paper roll to hide it. Adjust the length to your preference. I used just under 3 feet of rope.

The next step is to roll out the paper and have each end with a few rolls on it using your paper clips and add one to each end roll.

Next go into WORD on your computer and decide what you want your spring farmhouse DIY scroll to say. I chose “Fresh Flower Market, open daily, seed stems blooms”. You can use the stencils for this as well.

Next, line up your words how you choose making sure they are centered with the craft paper and start tracing over your words with the carbon paper black side down underneath the printed out words.

The carbon paper will leave a black mark wherever you traced with your pen on the paper. Now we will use this tracing to color in with our sharpie pen( or you can even paint it in as well if you like). You will also want to put another layer underneath your brown paper to avoid bleeding marks on your work surface.

I used both the thin point and thick end of my sharpie.

Now your sign is complete and ready for you to style in your home!

I chose to style my farmhouse DIY scroll with two black shutters, eucalyptus garland, and a mix of peach/ pink roses. I made a floral swag to put on the top of the scroll to complete the look.
